The media library, also known as “materials”, is a central tool for moderators in the edudip webinar room to share relevant content with their participants. This article takes you through the features and capabilities of the media library.

Where can I find the media library?

The media library can be found in the webinar room at the bottom right. It is through a folder icon marked and with the inscription “Materials” provided. This icon and the content of the media library are initially not visible to participants.

Upload material

As a presenter, you can easily upload new materials:

  • Click on the Cloud icon with the up arrow (upload icon).
  • Select the files you want from your computer.

Manage files: search, filter, and sort

To keep track of your uploaded materials, the media library offers various management options:

  • search field: To the left of the upload icon, you'll find a search field. Enter keywords here to quickly find specific files.
  • Filter by category: You can filter your files by the following categories:
  • videos

  • presentations
  • whiteboard
  • others
  • Word carousel
  • Filter by author: If multiple moderators have uploaded materials, you can filter by the author of the file.

Share files with participants

Next to each uploaded file, you'll see brief information such as the file name, format, and size of the file. There is also a eye icon.

  • By clicking on the eye icon You can share the respective file with the participants.
  • As soon as at least one file is released, this appears “Materials” icon also for participants at the bottom right of the webinar room. Attendees can then view and download the shared files.

File management via the 3-point menu

On the far right of each file, you'll find a 3-point menu. Clicking on it opens further options:

  • Download: You can download the file to your own computer.
  • Share in chat: This feature shares the file name, a preview image, and the ability to download the file in a public chat. Note that this feature works regardless of whether the file itself is shared with participants or not.
  • Delete: You can remove the file from your media library.
  • Edit: Here you can change the filename of the uploaded file.

The media library in edudip thus offers you comprehensive control and flexibility when sharing materials in your webinars.
